Danny Exile is a born and raised Tottenham-ite. Never even left
the area
until he was 14, and that was only to go to Roller Express in nearby
Edmonton. Some might say it was a life changing experience, but
it was actually a rave.

Christened Daniel Dobie and raised in the ways of
the Shaolin, Danny spent much of his youth playing football, listening
to 80's hip hop and chasing
the local ladies. It was only the realisation that he wasn't quite
going
to make the rigourous demands of the Premiership and the explosion
of
pop-hop that forced Danny to realise where his destiny really lied.

After stints working in two independent record shops
and releasing music on Kool FM's K-Power imprint(Red Five &
Exile - Difference b/w Rebellion), Danny decided that he had to
take the whole thing a bit more seriously and proceeded to get himself
a job working at the leading d & b distributor around - SRD.
This was all in 1999 and five years later Danny's still doing his
thing at SRD, now in charge of the company's production and manufacturing
which leads to day-to-day involvement with a number of leading labels.

Of course, at some point in between all of this happening,
he stumbled
across Future Thinkin and immediately found a common ground with
the guys behind the scenes at FT. Danny's upfront selection and
his uncomprimising belief that styles should be mixed together as
opposed to the trend of `picking your sound' sits well and when
asked what style he plays, `drum & bass' is the reply.

Having gained a reputation for being able to get hold
of that special
tune, Danny has found himself reaching out far and wide to spread
the FT vibe. With his weekly Sunday night show on Origin 95.2FM
being one of the most popular pirate shows around and also appearing
monthly on Pyrotechnic Radio he is a man dedicated to spreading
the sweet sounds of d & b as far as humanly possible. Along
with his monthly Traffic residency and appearances at events such
as Hospitality, Valve and Renegade Hardware vs. Metalheadz compounding
his versatility, he's definitely suited to the task.

Being a firm part of the Traffic furniture, this was
highlighted in
Danny's recent set in February when a non appearance by Randall
left him with an extended two hour set to close the night. Needless
to say he
didn't disappoint and despite the crowds obvious disappointment
at not
seeing the nights headliner, many went home with the belief that
they had
seen a future headliner in the making
